There are so many things we want from God. I want to leave a lasting legacy and be remembered for something. But as the days and years pass, I realise that I have no influence, instead others negatively influence me. I remain weak in my decision making and dont defend my faith as I should. There is very little power of God flowing through me. The reason can be found in Matthew 26:40. It all comes down to how much time we are prepared to sacrifice to spend with God.

It doesn’t matter what others are doing or how successful others might seem, we need to take responsibility for your own lives.  Your daily routine is unique to your life and God wants a part of your routine. He wants you to make time available for Him. He is the reason you have time in the first place.

When we feel convicted, we quickly look to a daily devotional piece from a well-known preacher to get rid of the feeling. Reading or listening to daily devotionals is not wrong, but what I am saying is that God is looking to speak to each of us personally. He has a Word for you and your household and that He won’t necessarily reveal through other people. He is looking for people to seek after Him.

Make the time for God and you’ll see God’s power return in your lives. You and your house, serve the Lord.
